Finishing and starting...

I have a funny feeling that this is another name for the End and the Beginning...hee hee...

I finished this one off, and now starting another one. This one is really cute, but I did it in a smaller needle (size #9). It is really a soft sweater and feels so yummy!

The Button added to close it is one chosen by Tori. I only gave her 2 choices.....and I think this is perfect for her....

Espresso. Doesn't this look like rich dark chocolate? I love how rich the color this is!

I am using a larger needle to do the same shrug (size 11). I casted on 58 stitches.

Raglan row 1 is
k2 p7 yo pm p1 yo p8 yo pm p1 yo p21 yo pm p1 yo p8 yo pm yo p7 k2

As it gets larger I will add to the pattern. I love how simple this is and how easy it is to change the pattern depending on how the yarn knits up and also depending on the size of the needles. Of course, I knitted a swatch first, with the larger needles before casting on....

So far...so good ...yes?

Top down Shrug

The top down shrug, is pretty simple, although I didn't use the needles specified, and I didn't use the gauge.....I used the gauge that was for the yarn....size 9 needles. I casted on 73, and so far, I have gone through almost 2 skeins. If I used larger needles, I think it would have used less yarn....

Simple top down shrug

I broke down this weekend and bought some yarn. Yes, it is cheap yarn but I love how soft this yarn is. I am going to again, put Tori's long sleeve wool sweater aside and work on this neck down shrug.
I got the pattern from Ravelry, and can't wait to see it done...alot of people said they finished it in 1 day...so..we'll see. I have a basketball game to attend to, and maybe I can get some of it done..
I should be working on other things, plus I am really tired...is it because of the time change? Or that maybe my cute little brat dog, kept waking me up?
sigh...
click click click...my knitting (er...shutting off the computer..)

Newton's Yarn Country - Sale

I went, I saw...and I didn't buy....

But it had lots of interesting yarn...not what I expected but I guess if you are a machine knitter it might be more appealing.

Paying for the yarn..(not me)....

Ribbed Lace Bolero

I had to put Tori's sweater down..I was getting bored, and wanted to do a quickie project...so this is what I am working on now. The pattern is easy but if you mess up, it isn't easy to fix easily. So, I was struggling with it for a few rows..(I was about 3 rows into the lace pattern when I had to rip out the whole thing up to the ribbing, and then about 14 rows into it when I had to rip out 2 rows....ugh!).... But I am almost through my first ball of Cotton Ease and I think I am finally getting the hang of it..!!
I think I might just make it for Tori but we'll see. I casted on 122 stitches, which might be too large, but so far, it seems pretty good.
Tori is asking me about her sweater..gulp!
sigh....
Got the pattern from Ravelry...check it out!
